Born and bred in Dublin , Ireland, The Ennis Brothers are an Irish country music duo built around the melodic harmonies of twin brothers Matthew and Owen Ennis. They grew up listening to the timeless country sound of their grandparents favourite artist, The Everly Brothers. It was this early experience with country music which would go on to help shape Matt and Owens sound. They both started writing songs and learning guitar in their teens performing on RTE television aged 15 on 'Class Act' singing one of their favourite Everly Brothers songs 'Bye Bye Love'.
They had a flying start to 2018 as runner's up in Nathan Carter's 'Search For A Star' competition, winning a support slot on Nathan Carter's tour. They went on to support Nathan Carter at the Theatre Royal for 2 nights in Waterford, The TLT in Drogheda and the Radisson Blu Athlone. Through 2018 they also performed at a number of other events across Ireland such as the Northern Ireland Golf Open, Cowboys and Heroes country music festival with the Chris Dallat Band and the Cool FM Stage at Culture night in Belfast.
They are currently in studio working with country music producer Peter Maher on their debut album and are releasing their first single ‘Wake Up Little Susie’ on the 10th of January 2019.
2019 is already shaping up to be the biggest year yet for The Ennis Brothers as they are joining Derek Ryan on his 'TEN' concert tour. They will join Derek and his band at the INEC in Killarney, The Cork Opera House and The Royal Theatre in Castlebar.
