Lisa Loughrey

Kildare native Lisa began her singing and songwriting career with Dublin based alt folk band, The Mariannes. In 2014, she was singled out for top honours in the inaugural Clancy Brother's Songwriting Competition for the track, Lost with All Hands. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength penning a number of tracks both for, and outside of, the group. One such track includes The Black Diary Waltz, which was released by The Mariannes in April 2016. The track was featured on an RTE Radio 1 documentary about the life of Roger Casement and featured in numerous exhibitions celebrating the 1916 Rising.

In conjunction with her role in The Mariannes, Lisa is currently working with multi-instrumentalist and producer Nathan Maher (Slacker's Symphony, Buffalo Sunn), bass player Damian McMahon (formerly of Tupelo) and is working toward recording a debut solo album.
